OOCASE

Object-Oriented Computer Aided Software Engineering (OOCASE) - Practical Leverage for the Knowledge Age.

About OOCASE

History

My name is Olof Johansson. I am master of science in computer science since 1989 and PhD in Engingeering Information Systems since 1996.

ROJTEC was a private company I started in 1984. It funded much of the development work of OOCASE. I wanted to proceed my carrer with more focused technically oriented software development work, so I closed it down in january 2019.

OOCASE is the result of my research. It is used to build object-oriented information models and generate program source code to customer adapted software applications.

Services I delivered using OOCASE to increase software development productivity:

1993-2016 Held courses, developed software applications, made investigations, educated users in customer adapted applications, maintenance and support of customers' software applications.

  • AutoCAD - development and support of customer adapted applications for graphical drawings integrated with databases.
  • Microsoft SQL Server - development and support of customer specific databases.
  • Microsoft Access - Development and maintenance of client applications with form based user interfaces and reports, interfacing SQL Server databases.
  • Cincom Smalltalk - Development of research prototypes and customer adapted client applications for Windows and Linux, particularly graphical user interfaces for configuring computations, information processing, export and import of data in databases.
  • 2015-2018 Upgraded OOCASE V3.5 till V4.0 with new functionality based on industrial research.

You are welcome to download my demo application DocumentDictionary. It is designed in OOCASE and I can build and deliver a similar application for a customer specific information model in a week.

There are Linux and Windows versions. The user manuals for DocumentDictionary, OOCASE and some research papers I written are provided as a demo example how to use DocumentDictionary for a team-based course.

The manuals are available as PDF's.

    Demo product Description
DocumentDictionary License Agreement (pdf) Standard click-wrap license agreement for DocumentDictionary. Just one A4 page with 10 clauses.
DocumentDictionary V1.0 Student (Linux x64) DocumentDictionary is a tool to help students of any age to plan their studies, estimate how much time to allocate for studying documents, and build a fast index into studied books and document knowledge sources. This is DocumentDictionary V1.0 CCR, with a Student license with highId=9999. Serves as a demo of custom-built Linux client workstation applications. Contains documentation examples for non-commercial use as proposal for a personal study plan.
DocumentDictionary V1.0 Student (Windows x86) DocumentDictionary is a tool to help students of any age to plan their studies, estimate how much time to allocate for studying documents, and build a fast index into studied books and document knowledge sources. This is DocumentDictionary V1.0 R101 Pro, with a Student license with highId=9999. Serves as a demo of custom-built Windows client workstation applications. Contains documentation examples for non-commercial use as proposal for a personal study plan.
